Position Overview

The Admissions Enrollment Manager plays a key role in advancing the Academy of Our Lady of Peace’s (OLP) mission by helping to attract, engage, enroll, and retain mission-appropriate students. Working under the supervision of the Director of Enrollment Management, this role serves as a primary ambassador for OLP and supports strategic recruitment, admissions, enrollment, and retention initiatives. The Admissions Enrollment Manager coordinates signature admissions and enrollment events, cultivates strong relationships with prospective, admitted, and current students and families, mentors student leaders, and supports initiatives that strengthen family engagement and belonging throughout the enrollment lifecycle. This individual brings a relational, detail-oriented, and mission-aligned approach to the admissions and retention process, communicating OLP’s Catholic identity and the charism of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet (CSJ). This is a full-time, twelve-month exempt position, responsible for supervising volunteers. This position reports to the Director of Enrollment Management

Recruitment Outreach & Retention
  • Conduct engaging presentations for students, parents, and schools, inclusive of parochial, private, and independent middle schools across San Diego, to promote the OLP mission and CSJ Charism.
  • Build and sustain authentic relationships with prospective, admitted, and current students and families through proactive, timely, personalized, and mission-centered communication that supports recruitment, enrollment, and retention..
  • Lead and organize prospective student tours, interviews, and shadow visits inclusive of evening back to school nights and community relation events.
  • Build and maintain relationships with elementary/middle school counselors and principals.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in handling student records, family communications, admissions materials, enrollment data, and retention-related information.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of a strategic recruitment plan to increase applications and enrollment.
  • Expand relationships with San Diego’s parochial, private, and independent school communities, particularly advancing new relationships.
  • Support retention efforts by fostering early connection, belonging, and family engagement from acceptance through matriculation and throughout the student experience.
  • Maintain proactive communication with families at key enrollment and retention touchpoints, including inquiry, application, admission, registration, orientation, re-enrollment, and transition periods.
  • Partner with school leadership and campus departments to identify opportunities to strengthen student and family connection, address barriers to continued enrollment, and support a positive OLP experience.
  • Support annual re-enrollment efforts through family communication, engagement strategies, event support, and coordination with the Director of Enrollment Management and school leadership.
Enrollment Events & Family Engagement
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute major OLP admissions events including but not limited to: 8th Grade Visitation Days, Open House, Pilot for a Day, Course Placement Diagnostic Test, Scholars' Day, Registration Events, Orientation Days, Student Welcome Events, New Family Nights, Club Pilot Events and Parent Tours.
  • Events may also include activities for prospective students, in partnership with the Assistant Principals such as BeYOUtiful, Club Pilot activities, Pilot Summer Academy, Troop Day or socials.
  • Liaise with campus departments to ensure seamless, mission-centered execution of events.
  • As needed, may be asked to support student clubs or academic teams in partnership with students, faculty, and administration.
  • Collaborate with Admissions, Advancement, Academics, Counseling, Student Life, Athletics, Finance, and other campus partners to support a seamless and mission-centered experience for prospective, admitted, and current families.
Enrollment Data, Marketing and Communication
  • Maintain accurate event and admissions data records utilizing school database software tools, providing ongoing reports and analysis for school, Board of Trustees, and overall institutional strategic decisionmaking.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Enrollment Management to evaluate outreach effectiveness and yield strategies.
  • Serve as the primary brand partner for all admissions publications inclusive of flyers, promotional materials, recruitment content, digital outreach, and web updates in partnership with the Director of Enrollment Management and the Chief Advancement Officer.
  • Collaborate on strategies to improve the yield rate of admitted students through targeted engagement touchpoints, relationship cultivation, and post-admission programming.
  • Track and analyze admissions, enrollment, re-enrollment, event participation, and retention data to support strategic decision-making and identify opportunities for improved family engagement and student persistence
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred
  • Experience in enrollment, admissions or campus tours preferred
  • Strong public speaking, writing, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Candidates with demonstrated leadership experience, strong relational skills, excellent judgment, and the capacity to grow into broad enrollment responsibilities will be considered
  • Familiarity with Catholic education and an understanding of single-gender learning environments preferred.
  • Commitment to the Mission of OLP, and the charism of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and database/CRM systems.
  • Must be able to work evenings and weekends and hold a valid driver’s license.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Reasonable accommodations may be made.

  • Work environment includes an indoor office environment as well as hot humid outdoor environment during events.
  • Regular lifting of up to 15 lbs and occasional lifting up to 50 lbs during events.
Requirements:

Required Documents & Pre-Employment Requirements:

Applicants must submit a cover letter, resume, and two professional references from current or former supervisors. Candidates must also provide official transcripts, a current negative TB test result or TB Risk Assessment Questionnaire, complete required training, and successfully complete Livescan fingerprinting. Employment is contingent upon obtaining fingerprint clearance from the California Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
