Job Description

Vector Command Specialist

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Vector Command Specialist based in the United States.

This role sits at the intersection of offensive security, customer engagement, and technical analysis, acting as a critical bridge between security consultants and enterprise clients. The Vector Command Specialist is responsible for helping organizations understand and reduce their external attack surface by performing reconnaissance, exposure validation, and OSINT-driven analysis. The role combines hands-on technical investigation with high-impact communication, translating complex security findings into clear, actionable remediation guidance for both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Working closely with red team operators and managed security functions, the specialist ensures customers receive timely, accurate, and meaningful insights into their security posture. The position also involves onboarding clients to attack surface management platforms and maintaining high-quality reporting standards across engagements. It is a fast-paced, collaborative environment where precision, curiosity, and communication directly shape customer security outcomes.

Accountabilities:
  • Onboard customers to external attack surface management platforms and ensure smooth adoption of Vector Command technologies and workflows.
  • Conduct manual external reconnaissance, exposure validation, and OSINT research to identify and assess customer attack surfaces and security risks.
  • Serve as the primary technical liaison for customers, managing communications related to alerts, testing activities, red team operations, and ongoing security assessments.
  • Oversee the accuracy, quality, and timeliness of customer-facing security reports and deliverables, ensuring consistency and technical rigor.
  • Translate complex offensive security findings into clear, actionable remediation guidance tailored to both technical teams and business stakeholders.
  • Coordinate monthly customer update sessions and red team review calls in collaboration with offensive security leadership.
  • Partner cross-functionally with internal security teams to align findings, prioritize exposures, and support remediation planning.
  • Track evolving customer attack surfaces and proactively identify changes in exposure that may impact security posture.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in offensive security, penetration testing, or technical security consulting roles.
  • Strong expertise in external attack surface reconnaissance, OSINT methodologies, and manual vulnerability validation techniques.
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, web application security, and Windows/Linux operating systems.
  • Ability to write and use scripts in Python, PowerShell, or Bash to automate security tasks and analyze datasets.
  • Experience translating highly technical security findings into clear, structured, and actionable recommendations.
  • Strong ability to break down complex environments into manageable components for assessment and remediation.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail with strong accountability for reporting accuracy and customer deliverables.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with the ability to operate in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
Benefits:
  • Competitive base salary with performance-based incentives and equity opportunities.
  • Comprehensive healthcare coverage including medical, dental, and vision plans.
  • Retirement savings plan and financial wellness benefits.
  • Flexible remote work arrangements supporting work-life balance.
  • Paid time off and company holiday programs.
  • Professional development opportunities within a leading cybersecurity environment.
  • Exposure to advanced offensive security methodologies and enterprise-scale attack surface management.
  • Opportunity to work directly with customers and security leaders on high-impact cybersecurity challenges.
