CVOR Tech at Lake Regional Health System – Osage Beach, Missouri

Lake Regional is looking for a Cardio Vascular Operating Room Technician to join our team! The Technician oversees patients in the peri-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative phases of the patients' experience. The ultimate goal of this position is to assist in the provision of quality individualized Patient Care.

The role may include but is not limited to: peer education, maintenance of the sterile field, advocacy, efficient provision of resources, maintenance of supply inventory, enforcement of standards and integration, and coordination of care across the surgical setting.

Overview:

• Prepares the operating room for the surgical patient
• Obtains the necessary supplies and equipment for the procedure
• Ensures cleanliness of the room
• Assists with opening sterile supplies
• Performs surgical scrub duties
• Assists in turning over of room, and ensures supplies, instruments, and equipment are returned to the proper location
• Assists with the collection, identification, and disposition of cultures and specimens
• Care of the Surgical Patient is based on knowledge, skills, and interpersonal competencies

Qualifications:

• Graduate from an approved course in Surgical Technology or related curriculum.
• Current BLS certification, current certification with the National Association of Surgical Technologists.
• One year of experience in a multi-disciplined CardioVascular Operating Room in an acute care hospital setting
• Will be on call 6 to 8 days per month
• Call pay and shift differential will be paid for this position
• Required Licensure, Certification or Registry.
