About This Position
SUMMARY:
Under the Wellness Director/Weekend Supervisor’s supervision, implements effective care delivery. Directs a timely approach to resident needs, and functions as a team player in an effort to ensure quality and continuity of care to all residents.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Regular, punctual attendance with a cheerful, respectful, and courteous attitude towards and all team members, residents, and family members.
2. Perform work functions with a team member approach; working for the best interest of the team as a whole which can mean working in every role as needed.
3. Assume portions of other roles when those roles are not filled to ensure smooth operations (i.e., assist as memory care caregiver when team needs help and you are available).
4. Implement orientation and education programs with company policy and procedures and philosophy of care.
5. Evaluate and meet the needs and care of residents.
6. Provide a quality assisted living program.
7. Monitor processes to ensure safe practices are being met consistently.
8. Maintain all logs, records, and processes mandated by state regulations. Always be ready and prepared for state surveys.
9. Interact with families, POA’s, residents, staff, providers, and pharmacy reps with respect and
a calm, friendly demeanor.
10. Assist with a teamwork approach to ensure everyone is doing their assigned duties, attending all staff meetings, providing safe and compassionate care to residents, interacting with all staff members/directors with respect and courtesy, etc.
11. Work closely with third party providers to ensure optimal health and well being of residents.
12.Maintain infection control.
13.Keep up to date with state covid guidelines as well as covid practices.
14.Provide updates to Wellness Director/Weekend Supervisor for any change of condition, falls,incidents, or other pertinent information from your shift.
15.Notify supervisor as applicable for any adverse incident.
16.Maintain resident Bill of Rights, and confidentiality.
17.Cover weekend needs on a rotating schedule.
18.Be familiar with all policies and procedures and follow them.
19.Maintain all equipment for safety and proper function.
20.Ability to read and decipher resident needs information on charts.
21.Respond accurately to emergency situations.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
a.Education Requirements: None. Basic caregiver knowledge.
b.Experience Requirements: 1 + years experience, working with all types of elderlyresidents preferred.
c.Demonstrate ability to safely provide care and follow regulations.
i. Must not be convicted of a felony and have favorable references and character check upon hire.
