Blake’s Outdoor Services, LLC. is a full-service landscaping company located in Pike County, Pennsylvania. We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our growing team of landscape professionals in the position of Landscape Crew Member.

Description of Position: Landscape Crew Member is a working staff member that works with other staff on various daily jobs including, but not limited to, contractor services, debris removal service, delivery service, excavating contractor services, landscaping services, property maintenance services, snow removal services, and similar tasks, while working as part of the team. This position could turn into a year-round salaried position after the provisional period is over, and employee reviews meet qualification guidelines. Our company is growing, thus leading to many opportunities for professional growth within our company as we continue to expand our services. This can be a salary-based position based on experience and qualifications. The Landscape Crew Member will report directly to the company manager and will be responsible for ensuring company standards are upheld daily. Necessary Skill/Qualifications:

• Openness to learn new skills
• Must demonstrate leadership skills
• Must be able to communicate effectively
• Must be self-motivated and provide motivation to crew members
• Must be able to understand instructions and complete given tasks thoroughly
• Must have prior snow removal experience
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical (must provide copy of DOT card, if currently active)
• Valid Driver’s License (must provide copy)
• Ability to drive a truck with an attached trailer
• Must be dependable and prompt
• Must have a respectable work ethic, be honest, and have good attention to detail
• Minimum one (1) year of experience with landscape equipment
• Minimum one (1) year of experience operating a plow truck
• Minimum two (2) years of experience operating a zero-turn mower
• Ability to safely operate all landscape equipment including but not limited to weed whacker, chainsaw, leaf blowers, etc.
• Must be able to be flexible with work schedule
• Regular hours of operation are Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM (hours and days may vary)

Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, and manage day-to-day job schedule and projects
• Operate and maintain equipment to ensure safe operating condition
• Ensure trucks and trailers have proper equipment for each project
• Ensure the equipment is properly maintained and regularly serviced
• Guarantee that all company policies and procedures, including safety guidelines and standards, are being upheld by all crew members
• Monitor and ensure that team members are following safety regulations to minimize accident risk or damage
• Proper reporting of any accidents or customer complaints

Additional reimbursements for pre-approved conferences, pre-approved training courses, and DOT physical (to obtain medical card). Hours vary depending on scheduling, weather, and time of year. Hourly rates vary from $18.00 to $22.00 per hour. Landscape Crew Member pay status will be determined after trial review. This position can be salary based as there is continued room for advancement with reviews taking place at end of 90-Day probationary period and then yearly at anniversary date of hire.
