Position Overview: The Commercial Lines Service Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Commercial Lines team, ensuring outstanding client service, workflow efficiency, staff development, and adherence to industry best practices. This is a strategic leadership role for someone passionate about team building, operational excellence, and client satisfaction.

Work Arrangement: This is a full-time remote position that supports our Patriot CT office

Professional Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and support the Commercial Lines Account Managers
• Oversee daily operations, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and policy accuracy
• Develop and implement department goals, procedures, and performance metrics
• Conduct regular audits of accounts for quality control and compliance
• Serve as an escalation point for complex client issues or carrier negotiations
• Stay current on industry trends, carrier appetites, products, and regulations
• Foster a positive, collaborative team environment and manage performance evaluations
• Collaborate with leadership on growth strategies, staffing, and technology improvements
• Assist in onboarding and training new team members

Qualifications and Requirements:

• 5-10 years of experience working in Commercial Lines at an independent brokerage, including leadership or supervisory roles
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Insurance, or related field
• Active Property & Casualty License
• Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products, markets, and carriers
• Insurance designations such as CIC, CPCU, ARM, or CRM, preferred
• Proven leadership, organizational, and communication skills
• Experience with agency management system, Applied Epic preferred
• Experience managing remote or hybrid teams
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Analytical mindset and attention to detail

Compensation Range: A starting base salary in the $90,000 to $94,825 range, depending on the candidate’s experience.
