Team Leader Post Anesthesia Care Unit at Crouse Hospital – Syracuse, New York

The Team Leader assists with the daily coordination and functioning of employees and resources within the PACU. Coordinates educational/development activities, plays an active role in NPC and other unit committees. The Team Leader is also responsible for the oversight of PACU Academy, as well as orientation and on boarding of all new staff. Will also fill in the charge RN role and staff nurse role as necessary.

Education/Certification/Licensure:

Required:

• Associates Degree in Nursing required. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing strongly preferred.
• Currently licensed as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.
• Preferred Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) certification.
• Basic Life Support certification (BLS) required at the time of hire or within two (2) weeks after hire. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and/or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification must be obtained within six (6) months of the hire date

Experience:

Required:

• Minimum of five (5) years previous nursing experience in an inpatient Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) setting.
• Minimum of two (2) years ICU/Critical Care experience

Preferred:

• PACU Charge/Supervisory experience

Special Skills/Equipment:
Working knowledge of MS Outlook.
Demonstrated leadership abilities.

Hourly Rate
$33.00 - $50.00
