Job Title: Assistant Branch Manager

Reports to: Branch Manager

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Responsible for customer service, sales, parts management and inventory in a family owned gas and welding supply store.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Greets customers and welcomes them to the store
• Process customer orders received in person at the counter, or by phone, or fax.
• Locate parts for our customers from various sources
• Assist customers with technical support and problem solving
• Promote new and existing products, upgrades and services to our customers
• Process cycle counts and assist in maintaining accuracy of physical inventory
• Develop long term business relationships with our customers to help promote sales growth and gain acceptance.
• Restock and maintain both showroom shelves and product displays
• Maintain professional atmosphere of store
• Make occasional deliveries using company vehicle
• Assist in warehouse duties which include pulling customer orders and putting away stock while operating a forklift
• Acts as liaison between customer and company with regard to pricing, products, delivery information, payments, service, and inquiries.
• Ensures that customer inquiries related to billing problems, cylinder balances, order status, time of delivery, etc. are promptly and courteously handled, providing follow-up as necessary.
• Works safely and meets the requirements of all safety procedures and rules as prescribed by State, Federal, and the Company.
• Other Duties as Assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High School diploma or GED required. Previous welding and retail experience preferred.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Class B CDL with HAZMAT preferred.
