Medical Receptionist/Aide at Jefferson Community Health Center – Fairbury, Nebraska

Jefferson Community Health & Life is looking for a Full-time Medical Receptionist/Aide to work in the Rehabilitation Department.

Days/Hours: 32 hours a week, Tuesday thru Friday, 8am - 4:30pm

No weekends or holidays

POSITION SUMMARY: Ensures smooth operation of the pediatric operations of the rehabilitation department, which includes scheduling, record retrieval, filing, receptionist duties, admissions functions, assisting with patients, and performing various patient and departmental activities related to patient rehabilitation under the guidance and direction of a Physical Therapist.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to type a minimum of 40 wpm
• Computer experience, required.
• The ability to establish positive relationships with parents and kids.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication skills, verbal and written.
• Good organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• BLS
• Excellent Customer Service
• Desire to help people to make a difference with patients to help them thrive on a daily basis

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

• Prepares the patient and treatment area for the administration of procedures and therapy.
• Performs various clerical duties to support effective department operations.
• Performs patient care related activities to support effective therapy care.
• Promotes and ensures patient safety in performance of all responsibilities.
