CHMC – Physical Therapist– Full Time- Day Shift – Requisition 6966

Physical Therapist needed to join our team at Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center, to provide skilled therapy within the scope of practice. Responsible for evaluation, planning, directing and administering physical therapy modalities of treatment as indicated. Administers treatments and physical agents as prescribed in an effort to restore function and prevent disability following injury, disease or physical disability. Assists patients to reach their maximum performance and level of functioning, while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities. The staff therapist coordinates, delegates, and supervises responsibilities assigned to supportive staff. Takes responsibility for supporting departmental goals and working as a team to achieve established metrics. Ensures that patient changes are accurate and entered on a timely basis. This position will be predominantly in our Acute Care setting providing care to patients of various diagnosis and our patients with orthopedic needs, with floating coverage to outpatient settings at the hospital and Canton Clinic. Primarily an inpatient position with coverage for outpatient as needed.

Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy, New York State licensure: good communication and writing skills. Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development across the life span and the ability to use that knowledge to individualize the plan and delivery of care. Must maintain current CPR certification.
