Ambassador Screener - Armed in Cookeville, Tennessee at Cookeville Regional Medical Center

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for the daily functions of the Security Department as well as insuring the safety and security of CRMC’s employees, patients, visitors and property and the performance of other tasks relating to the welfare, safety and security of the medical center and its satellites.

This individual will be responsible for ensuring employee/visitor compliance with COVID Regulations in regard
to entering CRMC.

Additional Education Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED required. Post secondary education/experience in criminal justice preferred.

Additional Certification Details:

Must complete the first two IAHSS levels of certification and other required training within the first 12 months of employment or promotion.

Must complete the first two IAHSS levels of certification and other required training within the first 12 months of employment or promotion. State of Tennessee Armed Security Guard license required within 90 days.
If designated and assigned by director a valid driver’s license would be required which includes: • No more than 2 Minor Violation or at fault accident in the past 12 mos. or 3 in the past 3 years. • No major violations in the past 3 years • No suspended, expired, revoked, or other status indicating the driver is not licensed. • No inexperienced drivers having less than 3 years operating the vehicle type they are driving.

Additional Experience Requirements:

Must be 21 years of age and have a minimum of one year military, law enforcement, armed security experience, or possess a specific skill that would benefit the department and hospital. Exemplary CRMC Protective Services job and training performance and State of Tennessee Armed Security license accepted in lieu of other experience.
