JOB DESCRIPTION: PREP COOK

Summary:

A Prep Cook facilitates the production of consistent high quality food products, preparing baked goods and setting up work stations and ingredients

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Safely and efficiently prepare all prepped items in accordance with recipe, procedure, and menu specifications
• Adhere to all safe food handling and health department guidelines
• Assist management in proper food storage, receiving, stocking and rotation, abiding by dating procedures
• Complete opening and/or closing duties
• Back up DMO functions as requested
• Other duties and special projects as assigned

Skills and Qualifications:

• Read and properly execute recipes and maintain a clean and organized work area
• Ability to follow directions, work in a fast paced, customer responsive environment
• Ability to work in a team environment and communicate with associates and management
• Ability to safely operate mixers and other food preparation equipment
• Ability to stand and walk for duration of shift
• Minimum lifting, pushing and pulling of up to 50 pounds
• Pushing, bending, stooping, walking, upward reaching, manual dexterity, seeing, hearing, writing, verbal communication
