FOH Server - Bar & Grill, Banquet, Pool at Tanglewood Resort – Pottsboro, Texas

Position Summary

The Front of House Server is responsible for delivering exceptional guest service across both banquet events and the bar & grill. This role requires versatility, professionalism, and a strong attention to detail to ensure a seamless dining experience in both fast-paced restaurant service and structured banquet settings.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Service

• Provide friendly, attentive, and efficient service to all guests
• Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests
• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor at all times
• Ensure guest satisfaction and resolve concerns quickly

Bar & Grill Service

• Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter into POS system
• Deliver food and drinks in a timely manner
• Maintain knowledge of menu items, specials, and beverage offerings
• Monitor tables and ensure cleanliness and proper setup throughout service
• Upsell menu items and promote specials

Banquet Service

• Set up banquet rooms according to event specifications (tables, linens, place settings)
• Serve plated meals, buffets, and beverages in a professional manner
• Clear and reset tables efficiently during and after events
• Follow event timelines and coordinate with kitchen and event staff
• Assist with breakdown and cleanup after events

Operational Duties

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of service areas
• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation standards
• Work collaboratively with team members and other departments
• Attend pre-shift meetings and training as required

Qualifications

• Previous serving experience preferred (restaurant and/or banquet)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to stand, walk, and carry trays for extended periods
• TABC/Food Handler certification (or ability to obtain)
