About This Position

Essential Functions

Summary:

The Paint Helper will be responsible for assisting the paint department with various tasks. This position will assist with the preparation, application, and cleanup of commercial paint projects. 

Accountabilities:

  • Assist with the execution of painting under the supervision of more experienced staff 

  • Perform basic paint skills such as masking, application, scraping, sanding, and cleaning 

  • Make sure each building is sealed and weatherproof 

  • Examine any painted surfaces for defects and help touch up or correct any imperfections as needed 

  • Maintain tools and equipment used while also maintaining a clean workspace 

  • Follow all safety guidelines and regulations, including the proper use of PPE, such as gloves, goggles, masks, and respirators, to ensure a safe working environment 

  • Other job-related responsibilities as assigned.

Required Knowledge/ Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is desired OR any combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the job duties (required)  

  • Have reliable attendance, be respectful and responsible at work. 

  • Ability to keep your hand and arm steady while moving your arm or while holding your arm and hand in one position 

  • Ability to effectively interact and communicate with individuals at all organizational levels in a professional, respectful manner 

  • Ability to carry product, equipment, and tools up to 50 pounds and push or pull product up to 100 pounds 

  • Ability to work in a heavy manufacturing environment requiring the employee to stoop, kneel, or crouch throughout an 8-to-10-hour day 

  • Prioritize safety when performing tasks and producing a quality product in an efficient and productive manner to meet production schedule 

  • Ability to reason and apply principles of logic to a wide range of factors when monitoring and working on jobs 

  • Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in completing work tasks. 

  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized environment, promoting a culture of safety and compliance.   

  • Ability to work in a heavy manufacturing environment requiring the employee to stand, stoop, kneel, or crouch throughout an 8-to-10-hour day.  

  • Strength to carry product, equipment, and tools up to 50 pounds and push or pull product up to 100 pounds.  

  • Ability to work in both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions. 

  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
