Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring behavioral support. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing high-quality, evidence-based interventions in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

- Collect and record data on client progress and behavior

- Assist in developing and modifying treatment strategies based on client needs

- Support clients in developing communication, social, and daily living skills

- Maintain a safe and positive environment for clients during sessions

- Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and families regarding progress and concerns

Skills and Qualifications:

- Valid and active RBT certification/license

- Ability to work 30 hours per week

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills

- Compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach

- Ability to follow detailed instructions and documentation procedures

- Prior experience working with individuals with developmental or behavioral challenges is preferred

- Reliable transportation and flexibility to work various hours if needed

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Active RBT certification through the BACB
    (or completion of 40-hour training and enrolled to test within 60 days of hire)
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check and fingerprinting, per state requirements
  • Reliable transportation and consistent punctuality
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds and participate in physical activities with clients

Certifications & Training

  • Current CPR and First Aid certification (must remain current)
  • BLS certification preferred — must obtain within 60 days if not already certified
  • Completion of ongoing RBT supervision requirements (per BACB standards)
  • Annual competency assessments and continuing education as required

Clinical Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 direct ABA therapy to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a clinic environment
  • Implement individualized behavior intervention and skill acquisition programs as written by the BCBA
  • Collect accurate, real-time data using electronic data systems
  • Assist with the generalization of skills during play-based and structured activities
  • Support parent training sessions with professionalism and clear communication
  • Participate in staff meetings, team collaboration, and required training
  • Maintain confidentiality, ethics, and professional boundaries at all times

  • Frequent engagement in active play (floor time, movement, sensory activities)
  • Work with individuals who may demonstrate challenging behaviors (aggression, elopement, self-injury)
