Position Summary
The Member & Guest Services Associate – Outdoor Aquatics Entrance serves as the first point of contact for members, guests, and visitors entering the Levine JCC Outdoor Aquatics Complex. This role is responsible for creating a welcoming, professional, and efficient entry experience while ensuring that all individuals meet membership and facility access requirements.
The Associate provides accurate information about Levine JCC programs and services, supports safe and secure facility operations, and helps connect prospective members to the appropriate staff for follow-up. This position plays a key role in delivering a positive member and guest experience in a high-traffic, seasonal environment.
Key Responsibilities
Member & Guest Experience
- Greet and assist members, guests, and visitors in a professional, courteous, and welcoming manner.
- Ensure all individuals entering the Outdoor Aquatics Complex meet membership or guest access requirements.
- Provide accurate and proactive information regarding Levine JCC programs, services, and membership opportunities.
- Refer prospective members to the appropriate staff for follow-up and engagement.
- Answer incoming calls and direct inquiries to appropriate staff or departments.
Access Control & Operations
- Manage entry to the Outdoor Aquatics Complex for members, guests, and rental groups.
- Utilize the member management system, Amilia SmartRec, for member check-in, transactions, reservations and waivers.
- Follow all established procedures, policies, and facility guidelines to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Maintain awareness of facility usage and report any concerns to supervisory staff.
Safety, Security & Emergency Response
- Enforce Levine JCC policies and procedures related to safety and security.
- Respond to situations calmly and appropriately, escalating concerns to supervisors as necessary.
- Maintain familiarity with all emergency procedures and protocols.
Team Support & Collaboration
- Resolve member concerns in a professional manner and seek support from supervisors when appropriate.
- Work collaboratively with Member & Guest Services staff and other departments to ensure a seamless member experience.
- Support overall operations and assist with additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- 1–5 years of experience in customer service and/or administrative support, preferably in a community-based setting.
- Experience working with CRM systems; familiarity with Amilia SmartRec preferred (training provided).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with a customer-service focus.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

- Strong communication skills, both in-person and on the phone.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and handle sensitive situations with professionalism and discretion.

Work Environment & Expectations

This is a seasonal, part-time position with an expected schedule of 20-29 hours per week. Availability must align with the operational needs of the Outdoor Aquatics Complex, including weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
The Levine JCC operates seven days a week, and this position requires consistent availability throughout the summer season (Memorial Day through Labor Day).
This role requires the ability to stand for extended periods, communicate effectively in person and by phone, and respond appropriately in emergency situations.
