Compensation: $27-$30 hourly, based on experience

Position Summary

This position supports an assigned Attorney and Paralegal with all aspects of pre-litigation administrative and medical records management. The role is detail orientated with strong organizational skills. This is an Onsite position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

    Manage a case load of 100-115 cases full-cycle, from intakes to settlementCollect client information through telephone calls, interviews, and through verification effortsObtain incident reports, wage loss records, insurance information, and other evidence necessary for each caseCommunicate, full cycle, with clients and assigned attorneysCommunicate with insurance companies and lien holdersResolve liens and medical provider balancesLocate and retrieve medical bills/records and other case-related recordsEnsure each task is fully complete, committing to follow-up efforts with necessary for each respective client, their associated medical providers, and that case’s insurance adjustersAssist Attorney in the preparation of settlement demandsMaintain file organization

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

    2-3 years prior case manager/legal assistant experience (personal injury preferred)Experience with Smart Advocate preferredAbility to order, read and understand medical records and billsUnderstand the difference between lien negotiations for ambulance companies, collection agencies, hospitals, chiropractors, and orthopedic doctorsExperience handling large volume of personal injury pre-lit cases, preferredFamiliarity with submitting claims with medical, medi-care and other healthcare insurance companiesExcellent communication skillsProfessional attitude and appearanceStrong multitasking and organizational skillsAbility to independently manage time effectively
