Coastal Quality Construction, Inc. (CQC) is seeking an experienced Senior Construction Estimator to join our commercial construction team at our Parma, Ohio office. This role is responsible for managing the entire pre-construction process, from initial job concept through buyout and handoff to operations.

The ideal candidate can independently estimate projects with a high level of accuracy, prepare competitive hard bids, and collaborate closely with ownership, architects, and subcontractors to ensure projects align with client budgets and company goals.

• Manage the full pre-construction process from concept through buyout.

• Prepare detailed cost estimates using takeoffs, subcontractor input, and historical cost data.

• Produce accurate hard bid estimates for both public and private sector projects.

• Establish bidder lists and create RFP solicitations for vendors and subcontractors.

• Develop detailed scopes of work for subcontractors.

• Perform scope reviews and bid leveling with subcontractors.

• Submit bids to owners and developers.

• Collaborate with architects to ensure designs align with owner budgets on Design-Build projects.

• Support business development efforts alongside the President to drive continued company growth.

• Transition pre-construction information, budgets, and contracts to operations and field teams.

• Maintain organized estimating documentation and records throughout the bid process.

• Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

• 7+ years of estimating experience preferred with a General Contractor, Construction Manager, or Design-Build firm.

• Strong ability to read and interpret construction and bidding documents.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

• Experience with On-Screen Takeoff software preferred.

• Excellent organizational, time management, and analytical skills.

• Ability to independently estimate projects accurately from start to finish.

• No specific licenses or certifications required.
