About the role
- Dias Geophysical is looking for a Human Resources Coordinator to support its growing operations in Chile. This role will focus on day-to-day HR administration, onboarding new employees, and ensuring ongoing compliance with Chilean labor regulations. The position is hands-on and operational, working closely with management and external advisors to ensure the company runs smoothly from a people and compliance perspective.
What you'll do
Day-to-Day HR Support
- Act as the main point of contact for employees on HR-related matters
- Support daily HR operations, including employee records and documentation
- Coordinate with payroll and accounting teams to ensure accurate employee data
- Assist management with HR-related queries and local practices
Onboarding and Offboarding
- Manage the onboarding process for new hires, including contracts, registrations, and documentation
- Coordinate induction processes and ensure employees are set up correctly from day one
- Handle employee terminations, including preparation of documentation and coordination of final payments
- Ensure compliance with Chilean labor requirements throughout the employee lifecycle
Compliance and Employment Law
- Ensure all employment contracts and policies comply with Chilean labor law
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local labor regulations
- Support the implementation of internal policies aligned with both local requirements and company standards
- Assist with labor inspections or regulatory requests if required
People & Culture Support
- Support the development of internal policies and procedures
- Assist with employee engagement and retention initiatives
- Help maintain alignment between local operations and the company’s global culture
Administrative Coordination
- Maintain organized and up-to-date employee files
- Track key HR deadlines (contracts, visas, renewals, etc.)
- Coordinate with external legal and payroll providers
Preferred Experience
- Experience working with international companies or remote teams
- Exposure to technical, mining, or field-based operations
- Basic English communication skills essential
Qualifications
- Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in HR roles in Chile
- Strong understanding of Chilean labor law and employment practices
- Experience managing onboarding, contracts, and employee lifecycle processes
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
