PERMIT COORDINATOR - ACREE PLUMBING & AIR - TAMPA FLORIDA BRANCH LOCATION
This is a Full Time, Hourly position, working On-Site at our Tampa Branch.
Hours: Monday - Friday 7 AM - 4 PM
Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 / Hour Based on Experience

What You'll Do:
The Permit Coordinator is responsible for managing the process of obtaining permits. They work with building departments and other professionals to ensure that all projects adhere to local building codes and regulations.

- Very strong Administrative Skills, MS Office, EXCEL. Experience with SERVICE TITAN is helpful and preferred.

- Organizational skills with amazing Customer Service and Follow Up abilities for Internal and External Customers
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or higher a plus)
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Research and prepare permit applications for submission to the appropriate regulatory agency.
- Track and monitor the status of permit applications through the approval process
- Prepare reports on permit activity; Track permit activity
- Coordinate with other departments within the organization to ensure compliance with permit requirements.
- Keep abreast of changes in permit regulations and advise management of potential impacts
- Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to permitting
- Serve as a liaison between the organization, customers, and regulatory agencies during the inspection process
- Responsible for resolving issues that arise during the permit process
- Maintain accurate records of permit
- Performing other work-related duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS/ABILITIES:
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate effectively establish rapport, present information and respond to questions from managers, clients.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts; ability to apply concepts of basic accounting.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral or schedule form
- Must have good organizational skills as the role often has many tasks to complete in a short period of time.
- Time Management – a necessary skill as they often have many tasks to complete in a day. Also, must have the ability to multi-task throughout the day
- The ability to identify a problem, analyze it and find a solution
- Ability to serve as a positive, solution-oriented team member while building trust and productive partnerships with the service team, technicians, internal staff, and cross-functional office departments.
- Ability to conduct business in a mature, courteous, and professional manner
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
- Strong follow-up skills to ensure duties are completed timely and accurately.
- Strong verbal and written communication to clearly articulate the status of initiatives and duties
- Ability to travel to other branches for training or to provide administrative support, if necessary
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
REQUIRED:
- High School Diploma required
- 5+ years experience as an Office Manager or Executive Administrative function for a customer-service-focused company
- Advanced computer skills – MS Office suite of products
PREFERRED:
- Experience in the trades: HVAC, plumbing, electrical
- Experience with Service Titan
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Professional Office Environment
- Ability to travel to other locations, for training sessions and/or meetings
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- High School diploma or GED preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2-3 years of related experience and/or training
- Industry experience and sales experience is preferred
- Computer literacy, including experience with Microsoft Word, EXCEL
