Peninsula Plastics is looking for hard-working and motivated individuals to take on the role of Hilo Operator on our shift.

Location: Must be able to travel between our facilities in Pontiac and Auburn Hills (within 1 mile of each other)
Shift: Monday and Thursday
Pay: $19.00/hr
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Hi-Lo drivers support our production team in various areas such as shipping and receiving, moving materials to and from machines, and other tasks as assigned and report directly to the Production Supervisor. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and able to work with little supervision when necessary.
Reports to: Shift Supervisors and Team Leaders
Responsibilities:
• Performs daily inspections before beginning operations and regularly checks the Hi-Lo equipment for faults or damages.
• Follows all safety policies and procedures.
• Operate and maneuver Hi-Lo safely in a busy manufacturing facility and perform assigned tasks.
• Handle all shipping and receiving operations as assigned.
• Material handling as assigned.
• Inventory management as assigned.
• Unload deliveries and safely relocate the goods to their designated areas.
• Safely stack and unstack large quantities of goods onto shelves or pallets.
• Work with Plant Supervisor to ensure all production needs are met.
• Other tasks/responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Previous Hi-Lo operating experience and accredited certification required.
• Experience working in a manufacturing facility, plant operations, factory, or similar setting preferred.
• Ability to work well in a team with other staff to coordinate the movement of goods.
• Must be able to lift up to 35-40 pounds.
• Ability to work long shifts in a loud industrial environment which includes exposure to extreme heat.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing and follow written/verbal instructions
• Must be able to multitask.
• Must be willing and able to work occasional overtime as required.
• Understanding of production and plant processes.
• Strong Organization skills.
• Critical Thinking skills.
