About The Role:
Lendmarq is actively seeking a qualified individual to join our Asset Management & Special Servicing department. The Special Servicing Analyst is responsible for managing borrower outreach and collections efforts on troubled assets, working to drive optimal resolutions while maintaining strong client relationships. This role also supports the negotiation of loan extensions and modifications, performs financial analysis to calculate expected returns, and ensures data integrity through detailed loan file reviews and periodic audits. Ideal candidates are analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable navigating complex financial situations.
What You'll Do:
- Meet operating performance metrics and standards for speed, quality, and customer service
- Review loan data, file maintenance and perform periodic audits of loan servicing files
- Where applicable, assist with negotiating extension options and/or modifications with borrowers
- Oversee attorneys managing the foreclosure process and maintain accurate status notes
- Calculate expected returns on troubled assets
- Manage outreach to past due borrowers to resolve defaults
- Collaborate in cross departmental ad hoc projects
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- 1 year of experience in mortgage lending, preferred in collections or loss mitigation
- Strong customer service and administrative skills
- Self-directed worker with ability to prioritize competing priorities
- Experience collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to execute resolutions
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
