Generations at Applewood in Matteson, Illinois, has Immediate Openings for Dietary Aides. Position available is Full-time.

Rate: $16.00 per hour!

Hours are: 1:30p-9:00p - days may vary and will be worked out with the Food Service manager. Every other Weekend is required.

We are offering a great opportunity for those who are interested in a culinary career. You'll be a Dietary Aide but learning from a professional chef. You'll be learning by doing multiple functions within our dietary department: prepping, plating, passing trays, dishwashing all the while being mentored by someone with years of culinary experience. Responsibilities of the Dietary Aide:

• Assist in the preparation and service of food and beverages for residents as assigned
• Coordinate daily dietary services with the nursing staff
• Read and interpret Diet Cards
• Deliver food to residents' rooms
• Set up/take down dining areas
• May take inventory of food and supplies
• Ensure work areas are clean, organized and safe
• Dishwashing and other tasks as assigned

of the Dietary Aide:

• Previous dietary experience in a healthcare facility preferred - NOT Fast Food
• Must be 18 years or older
• Basic awareness/knowledge of sanitation practices as it relates to food preparation
• Ability to read, speak and understand English
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Must have compassion and tolerance for older adults
• Deliver excellent customer service with a smile!
• Must be deemed eligible to work in healthcare by IDPH; May require fingerprinting. No Waivers accepted.
