About This Position
Job Type: Full-time and Part-Time
Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
*This role uses a split-rate compensation structure. Billable client service hours are paid at a higher hourly rate, while non-billable hours—including training, drive time, admin tasks, and required meetings—are compensated at a separate hourly rate.*

Stars Therapy Services is a company dedicated to empowering children and families toward happiness and wellness. We are currently seeking passionate individuals to join our clinical team in the Bay Area to provide play-based therapy to children under the age of three years old. Essential Functions:
- Provide services in the child’s natural environment (in families’ homes or other community settings).
- Working with children under the age of 3 years old, you'll collaborate closely with parents/caregivers to enhance skill acquisition in key areas of childhood development using play therapy techniques.
- Collaborate with a clinical team of supervisors and leads as well as a scheduling department for support.
- Develops and implements individualized, weekly activity plans that support toddlers’ development, growth, and resiliency within the home environment.
- Work with the family to develop strategies to help each child reach their specific developmental goals
- Utilize the family-centered parent coaching approach to build confidence and skills and to ensure that progress is generalized
- Maintains accurate documentation, including session notes, data entry, reassessment reports, and goal development.
- Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and/or State/Federal regulations)
- Strong written communication skills, excellent writing and editing skills, and demonstrated ability to write clearly and professionally
Qualifications:
- Experience working with children with developmental delays, learning disabilities, or behavior disorders.
- Experience in child development, behavioral therapy, early childhood education, infant teaching, or a related field is preferred.
- Comfortable thinking outside the box, adapting to a changing environment, and maintaining professionalism with the families.
- Bilingual (preferred)
- Previous job roles such as Behavior Technicians (BTs), Registered Behavioral Technicians (RBTs), ABA Therapists, or even Direct Support Professionals (DSP) are a plus!
- High school diploma
- Bachelor's Degree (Child Development, Psychology, or related field)
- Demonstrated knowledge of the fundamental stages of infant and toddler development
- Minimum of one year of experience working with children under the age of 3
Requirements:
- Have reliable transportation and willingness to travel to various home-based sites throughout the day
- Valid driver’s license, proof of current Vehicle Insurance Registration, and a clean driving record.
- Ability to obtain DOJ background clearance.
- Willing to obtain CPR certification
- Obtain and provide current negative TB test
- Ability to walk, run, tolerate prolonged periods of standing, kneeling, crawling, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and write communication through computer, electronic devices, and paper means.
