About This Position
Mental Health Technician - Behavioral Health

Work hours: Fulltime, Nights; 7:00p - 7:00a
Behavioral Health Department highlights:
• Busy outpatient clinic consists of Partial Hospital Programs and Intensive Out-Patient Program with consistent volume serving adults with cooccurring behavior health and chemical dependency needs

Here's What You Need
• High School Diploma and 1 year of experience required or
• 1 year of inpatient experience in the behavioral health field as a MHT, PCT, CNA, or related position highly preferred.
• High School Diploma and CNA - Certified Nurse Aide certification required or
• Associate's degree in healthcare field required.
• Bachelor's degree in healthcare field preferred
• Other - CLIAFE; Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency required.
What You Will Do
• Assist with and help coordinate patient care.
• Assists with all patient care provided by the multidisciplinary team.
• Encourages team members.
• Provides instruction to team members.
• Greet and receive patients admitting/arriving to the unit/area.
• Orients patient to surroundings, reviews safety procedures, and unit rules/guidelines while coordinating with the nurse.
• Prepares patient to be discharged/transferred.
• Assists with gathering belongings and making sure all belongings are returned to the patient (except for medication).
