The Assistant Project Manager will serve in assigned aspects of industrial construction, including contract administration, construction execution, and end-to-end planning, developing, scheduling, and ongoing management of project outcomes.

Travel: As required; 15-20%

Essential Responsibilities:

1. Assist in bid preparation- machinery quotation, material quotation, and project detailing.
2. Assist with the coordination of project details- drawings, equipment submissions, material specifications, performance specifications, project changes, and document control.
3. Attend and participate in project meetings as required.
4. Assist the Project Manager with the preparation of progress reports and meeting minutes.
5. Assist in preparing and tracking payment requests/invoices and estimates
6. Assisting with material procurement and expediting deliveries.
7. Assist with project close-out out- document coordination, correction of project deficiencies, and execution of warranties.
8. Adherence to company safety policies.
9. Build and maintain client relationships.
10. Other duties as assigned.

Education & Additional Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or construction management required.
2. Proficient in the Autodesk Environment.
3. MS Office (Word & Excel) and virtual collaboration tools.
4. CMIC, and Procore experience preferred.
5. Strong analytical, organizational, and multi-tasking abilities.
6. Strong communication skills- written and verbal
7. Having initiative and a positive, "can-do” attitude is essential.
8. Efficient time management and organizational skills.
9. Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail.
10. Interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish effective professional relationships with employees and project managers.

Physical Requirements:

1. Prolonged periods of standing, kneeling, crawling, climbing ladders, and climbing stairs (high rooftops included).
2. Ability to work at heights and around moving machinery, including vibrating machinery, and tolerate environmental conditions consisting of heat, cold, noise, vibration, fumes, and dust.
3. Must be able to lift and carry 25 pounds.
4. Ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time (while working on job sites, driving, etc.).
5. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
