Accounting Assistant at Serengeti Care – Renton, Washington

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Data Entry Specialist – Healthcare Revenue to support our Accounting team with accurate and timely entry of insurance payments. This role is essential to maintaining clean financial records, ensuring patient data accuracy, and supporting healthcare revenue cycle processes.

What You’ll Do
- Enter insurance payments accurately into QuickBooks Online.
- Review remittance information and identify errors or inconsistencies; make corrections as needed.
- Verify and update patient and payer information to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of patient and financial data in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with Accounting and internal teams to resolve payment-related questions.
- Assist with miscellaneous accounting and administrative projects as assigned.

What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certification in healthcare, accounting, or medical data entry is a plus.
- Previous experience in medical data entry, accounting support, or a related role preferred.
- Familiarity with healthcare revenue cycle processes and insurance payments is strongly preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA and company policies.
