Pharmacy Technician at Citizens Memorial – Bolivar, Missouri

Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) in Bolivar, MO is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to join our staff in the Hospital Pharmacy Department! CMH is made up of 34 primary and specialty clinics, 6 long-term care facilities, and 1 residential care facility. Offering acute care, emergency services, ambulatory care, pharmacies, walk-in clinics, surgeries, addiction recovery, rehab therapies and more, CMH has its community covered!

About the Department: CMH Hospital Pharmacy compounds and dispenses medications by means of standard physical and chemical procedures to fill medication orders and prescription requests issued by physicians and other qualified prescribers.

A typical day will include: Assisting the Pharmacist in a variety of pharmacy-related duties utilizing equipment, supplies, and procedures appropriate to the ages of the patients served while adhering to regulated standards and rules.

• Assists Pharmacists with communication to patients and providers
• Prepares and labels medications for dispensing
• Assures adequate supplies of medications are available
• Delivers meds to patients, nursing units, and LTC facilities

Job Requirements:

• Education: HS diploma or equivalent preferred
• Experience: Hospital or retail pharmacy experience preferred
• Skills: Customer service, computer proficiency, and ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information relating to the needs of individual patients
• Licensure/Certification: Registered Pharmacy Technician in the State of Missouri within
• Physical: Prolonged periods of sitting and standing

The position is: PRN working 10-hour shifts every other weekend.
