HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?
As the Child Family Specialist, you are going to be a key advocate for each child and family, providing direct services in alignment with individualized treatment plans developed as part of the child and family team. You will partner with Parent Partners, Facilitators and Therapists to create goals and figure out ways to fully support each child and family while empowering family participation. You will get the opportunity to work with children and their families in their home/out-of-home placements and their respective communities.

    • Partner with families to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring every child’s needs are met in a supportive, community-based setting.
    • Provide hands-on support with daily living tasks—whether it’s educational assistance, parenting guidance, home management, recreational activities, or behavior strategies.
    • Step in during crises to stabilize situations and offer on-site consultation, keeping families on track when plans disrupt.
    • Drive impact—literally by transporting clients to essential appointments, linkage services, and approved outings, making sure they stay connected to resources (as needed).

WHAT MAKES YOU A GREAT CHILD FAMILY SPECIALIST?

    • You are trauma-informed, ensuring every interaction reflects empathy, respect, and confidentiality. You focus on your client's strengths, always taking opportunities to empower them on their journey toward healing.
    • You’re organized and detail-oriented, with excellent time management and follow-through. Your documentation, notes, and communication are on point and on time (even ahead of schedule sometimes)!
    • You value professionalism and teamwork, building trust and working collaboratively, while being accountable for your contributions.
    • You’re fluent in Spanish, bringing strong verbal and written communication skills to connect with diverse families and communities.
    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES

    • BA/BS Degree in social services or related field highly preferred. Will consider Associates with 2-3 years of experience.
    • 1-3 years of experience working directly with seriously disturbed children, adolescents, and families.
    • Bilingual Spanish speaking required.
    • CA Driver License required.
    Other Requirements

  • Experience working with multiethnic/racial clients and communities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work well within a team atmosphere.
  • Proficiency at computer required.

  • The choice is now - the impact is forever. Apply today!
