Job Summary

• Under the general supervision of the Pathologists and the Pathology/Histology Supervisor, performs all functions necessary for accurate histological examination of body tissues; processes and stains all specimens submitted for histological analysis

Minimum Qualifications

• Education

Associates Degree with science classes preferred.

• Experience

One year prior Histology experience preferred. Demonstrated ability required.

• Licensure and/or Certification
  • HT(ASCP) preferred. Demonstrated accurate performance may be considered as substitution for certification.
• Skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Must be detail-oriented.
  • Computer proficiency required.
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information required.
