Rome Program Faculty in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania at University of Pittsburgh

The Global Experiences Office is seeking a part time faculty instructor for ITAL 0100 Italian for Professions (3 credits) and ITAL 0110 Literary Italian (3 credits) during the Summer 2026 term. The appointment will take in person in Rome, Italy for the Rome: Art, Language, Culture program.

Responsibilities:

• Preparation, delivery, and grading of ITAL 0100 Italian for the Professions (3.0 credits) and ITAL 0110 Literary Italian (3.0 credits)
• Coordinating pre-departure activities and orientation, travel logistics, academic site visits, cultural experiences, and any other academic programming while in Pittsburgh and Rome.
• Tracking all financial expenses and completing expense report post-travel.
• Crisis management.

Requirements:

• A graduate degree in Italian language is required.
• Previous experience instructing Italian at a university level is preferred.
• Previous experience coordinating study abroad programs is preferred.
