This role is a senior leadership position responsible for shaping and executing enterprise-wide vendor management strategy within a healthcare-focused organization. You will oversee critical external partnerships that support revenue cycle operations, ensuring vendors deliver measurable value, compliance, and operational excellence. Acting as a key liaison between internal business units and third-party providers, you will drive performance governance, cost optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives. The position requires strong cross-functional collaboration with finance, operations, and executive leadership to align vendor performance with organizational goals. You will also play a pivotal role in mitigating risk, strengthening contractual accountability, and enabling scalable service delivery models. This is a high-impact role where strategic thinking and operational rigor directly influence healthcare financial performance and patient service outcomes.
- Lead the development and execution of enterprise vendor management strategy, including sourcing, onboarding, governance, and ongoing performance optimization across key partnerships.
- Establish and maintain strong vendor relationships, ensuring adherence to SLAs, KPIs, contractual obligations, and overall service expectations.
- Monitor vendor performance through structured reporting, dashboards, and governance frameworks, driving continuous improvement and accountability.
- Partner with operations, finance, and executive stakeholders to align vendor capabilities with business needs and scalability objectives.
- Manage vendor-related risk, ensuring compliance with contractual, financial, and regulatory requirements in a healthcare environment.
- Support vendor budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization initiatives in collaboration with finance teams.
- Lead contract negotiations and contribute to strategic sourcing and vendor selection decisions as needed.
- Drive cross-functional alignment to ensure external partnerships effectively support operational efficiency and organizational goals.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in vendor management, operations, procurement, or related leadership roles.
- Proven experience managing complex vendor ecosystems, ideally within healthcare, revenue cycle management, or outsourcing environments.
- Strong track record of driving performance improvements, cost efficiencies, and operational excellence.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset.
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead cross-functional initiatives.
- Strong communication, relationship management, and executive presentation skills.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, mission-driven, and highly collaborative environment.
- Competitive annual salary range: $100,000 – $150,000
