Job Description

Packaging Production Designer

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Packaging Production Designer in Brazil.

This role is focused on transforming approved creative concepts into precise, production-ready packaging files that meet strict technical and manufacturing standards. You will work across a wide range of packaging formats, including cartons, labels, inserts, and secondary packaging for consumer products. The position requires strong expertise in print production, file preparation, and prepress workflows, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and external vendors to ensure designs are fully optimized for mass production and retail environments. This is a remote opportunity within a fast-paced, detail-driven setting where consistency, efficiency, and quality are essential. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys both technical execution and creative adaptation within structured production systems.

Accountabilities:
  • Build accurate mechanical and production-ready packaging files based on approved creative directions and dielines
  • Prepare vendor-ready artwork, including correct color systems (CMYK/Pantone), separations, trapping, and print-specific layers (varnish, foil, white ink)
  • Create and adapt packaging designs for SKUs, line extensions, and size variations while maintaining brand consistency
  • Design commercially viable packaging concepts for product lines, ensuring scalability across retail environments
  • Preflight, review, and quality-check all files to ensure compliance with print and production specifications
  • Manage revisions, version control, and feedback cycles to minimize errors and production issues
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to resolve technical and manufacturability challenges
  • Maintain organized asset libraries, naming conventions, dieline repositories, and production documentation
  • Ensure compliance with retailer and regulatory labeling requirements, including barcode and claims placement
  • Support efficiency improvements through optimized layouts, material usage, and production cost considerations
  • Create simple mockups and presentation-ready visuals when needed for internal or client-facing reviews
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Packaging Design, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • 3+ years of experience in packaging production design, ideally in CPG, beauty, or fragrance industries
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign for production workflows
  • Strong understanding of typography, layout systems, and print hierarchy applied to packaging
  • Solid knowledge of prepress and print production, including CMYK, Pantone, foils, varnishes, and dielines
  • Ability to work with technical packaging constraints and ensure production feasibility
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and file management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced remote environment
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional and vendor teams
  • Nice to have: experience with 3D packaging tools (KeyShot, Blender, Cinema 4D, Adobe Dimension)
  • Nice to have: experience with presentation tools such as PowerPoint or basic packaging engineering workflows
Benefits:
  • Competitive monthly compensation ranging from USD 1,800 to 2,000 depending on experience
  • Fully remote contractor position within a global talent environment
  • Opportunity to work on consumer-facing packaging for retail and mass-market products
  • Exposure to international brands and high-volume production workflows
  • Collaborative environment with cross-functional and vendor interaction
  • Continuous learning opportunities in packaging production and technical design
  • Structured workflow with clear processes and project visibility
