Grading Supervisor in Palmetto, Florida at Ecosouth Florida LLC

We are seeking a Grading Supervisor to lead our field crews and effectively build and maintain strong working relationships with customer site supervisors and purchasing managers.

$65,000 - $70,000 per year

The candidate should have the following skill set:

• Manage crew schedules and assess tasks ahead of schedule to ensure job readiness
• Maintain and encourage a safety-first atmosphere in line with EcoSouth's best practices
• Take ownership of assigned work sites and lead operational decisions within those communities
• Work with crews to provide a high-quality finished product that meets customer and industry standards
• Supervise and ensure the proper usage and day-to-day maintenance of heavy equipment
• The ability to communicate in Spanish is preferred
• Knowledge of Grading is preferred but not necessary

Skills Required:

• Proven experience as a Supervisor or similar role in the construction industry
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and materials
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety protocols
• Ability to supervise and motivate a diverse team of workers

• Demonstrates ability to follow specific instructions and directions
• Demonstrate ability to use and operate hand tools, including reading a tape measure and using a hammer
• Demonstrate ability to stack material properly
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced team environment, as well as work alone
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English effectively
• Must be able to comply with OSHA requirements and standards to wear all applicable PPE properly

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull, maximum lift – 100 lbs.; frequently lift/carry – up to 50 lbs
• Must be able to see within a normal range of vision with or without corrective lenses
• Must be able to hear running machinery
• Must be able to use hands, wrists, and fingers repetitively
• Must have exceptional eye-hand coordination
• Must regularly be able to squat, bend, twist, and stand
• Must be able to walk around regularly, using steps occasionally
