Job Description
Position Summary:
The Scheduling Specialist will ensure the effective management of all behavioral health outpatient referrals to ensure all administrative paperwork is completed to facilitate the process of initiating outpatient services for new clients. The Scheduling Specialist will perform a wide variety of tasks throughout the life cycle of the referral to assure that the process of initiating services is easy and effective for clients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Contacts and schedules intake assessments for potential clients referred by community agencies and Outreach Liaisons.
2. Sets up appointments and reschedules as necessary.
3. Contacts the patient on a timely basis for all scheduling requirements.
4. Creates new Credible profile for new clients and upload referral to client’s chart
5. Ensures client’s demographic information is accurate and up to date in Credible.
6. Confirms completion of intake with therapist, update census and change the client’s status to active.
7. Logs each referral and maintains an ongoing detailed tracking of the status of every referral; always Maintains the Outpatient Census Database with accurate and current data.
8. Communicates with referrals sources to provide updates and follow up as needed.
9. Confirms completion of intake with therapist, update census and change the client’s status to active.
10. Provides basic program information to clients and callers as needed. Program service description, service area, and admission criteria.
11. Complete all program reports as needed per Social Services Manager.
12. Responsible for monitoring all referral received and follow-up in a timely manner.
13. Perform other related duties as assigned by Social Services Manager.

Education and/
or Experience: High School diploma or equivalent.
