As aNuclearMedicineTechnologist,you’llreportto the Manager.You will administerdiagnostic and therapeutic radionuclides for the detection and treatment of disease.
NuclearMedicine TechnologistJob Responsibilities
-
Prepares and administers appropriateradiopharmaceuticalin order toachieveoptimalexam.

Operates computers and scanning equipment to obtainoptimalimages based on radiologist approval.

Responsible for emergencycalland respondsin appropriatetime.

Responsible for completing therapies and consultations.
-
Maintains strict patient exam records for daily and quarterly procedures.
-
Responsible for meeting standards of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission todemonstrateappropriate lowlevel waste disposal records.

Responsible for entering data in exam result fields in Radiology Information System.

Knowshow to appropriately use dose management system inSyntrac.
-
Operates the PACS and Nighthawk to review and edit studies.
-
Alwaysfollowsall hospital radiation safety regulations to ensure patient and personal safety.

Wears radiation badgesat all timesand submits for monthly testing.

Wearslong sleeve/lab coat at all timeswhen handling radioactive material.

Performs daily and weekly tests on equipment as required by state and NRC.
-
Completes other job-related duties andprojects asassigned.
What You Bring
You brinbasic knowledge of pharmaceutical preparation, computeracquisitionand theory of nuclear medicine.
Required Qualifications

Successful registration with the ARRT (N), NMTCB (CNMT), or Indiana State Department of Health certification.

Board certification from: ARRT (N) (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists), CNMT (Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board) or Indiana State Department of Health.

Up to one (1)yearexperience asNuclearMedicine Technologist is preferred.
