Parts Coordinator

Full-Time Hourly
Operations – Truck Body Division
Edmonton, AB

Introduction

If you're organized, detail-oriented, and enjoy helping technicians and customers find the right parts to keep trucks working, we'd like to meet you.

Thermo King Western's Truck Body Division is seeking a Parts Coordinator to support our growing service and installation operation. You'll play a key role in ensuring our technicians have the right parts when they need them while providing outstanding support to customers purchasing parts for a wide range of vocational truck equipment.

Our Truck Body Division represents industry-leading manufacturers including service bodies, van bodies, VMAC air compressors, Miller welders and generators, vehicle-mounted cranes, liftgates, lighting systems, shelving, and many other commercial truck accessories and equipment.

What You'll Do
  • Provide parts support to internal technicians and external customers
  • Identify, source, and sell parts for service bodies, van bodies, VMAC systems, vehicle-mounted cranes, Miller equipment, liftgates, lighting, accessories, and related truck equipment
  • Coordinate daily parts requirements for scheduled and emergency service work
  • Stage and kit parts for technicians in advance of scheduled work to maximize shop efficiency and minimize downtime
  • Receive, inspect, and accurately process incoming inventory
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through system updates, cycle counts, and proper organization
  • Track backorders and communicate order status and expected delivery dates
  • Proactively contact customers from time to time to discuss upcoming projects, identify anticipated parts requirements, and help ensure they have what they need before the work begins
  • Work closely with the Service Coordinator, technicians, vendors, and management to ensure efficient workflow
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional parts department
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support a positive team culture
Skills & Qualifications
  • Previous experience in an automotive, heavy-duty, commercial truck, industrial, or equipment parts environment is preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced shop environment
  • Experience with inventory management or ERP software is an asset
  • Basic computer proficiency, including email and order entry
  • Mechanical aptitude and an interest in vocational truck equipment are considered strong assets
  • Forklift experience or certification is an asset
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license preferred
