We are currently looking for multiple Equipment Operator’s throughout the Edmonton, AB area.

Summary

The Equipment Operator fosters an environment of construction execution excellence. The Equipment Operator will complete activities safely and efficiently all while upholding a strong dedication to quality.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years’ experience in construction
  • Hoisting & rigging Experience
  • Equipment working knowledge.
  • Ground Disturbances training
  • Working knowledge of hydraulic equipment

Skills

  • Knowledgeable in civil construction
  • Ability to coach and mentor apprentices.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and clients.
  • Trenching requirements & Safety procedures
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, Class 3 with air an asset.

Duties

Leadership

  • Uphold core corporate values.
  • Provide positive examples of conduct, safety and mentoring to others.
  • Coach and mentor
  • Participate in tailboard meetings with Direct reports.
  • Review project safety & environmental policies & procedures

Operations

  • Coordinate with Foreperson to ensure that client needs are being met or exceeded.
  • Identify potential project scope change to Foreperson.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring every team member gets home safely.
  • Review and understand corporate policies/procedures.
  • Review and understand project schedule/milestones.
  • Provide afterhours support to crews as needed.
  • Coordinate day to day work scope with Foreperson
  • Coordinate day to day equipment needs.
  • Day to day maintenance of equipment and reporting issues to Foreperson

Employment Pre-requisites and Requirements

  • D&A Testing and a background check is a mandatory requirement of this position.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have a valid Class 5 Driver’s License. (Class 1 or 3 considered an asset)
