Registered Nurse (RN) – Intermediate Care Unit

As a Registered Nurse in the Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU), you'll provide specialized nursing care to patients who require closer monitoring and more complex care than a traditional medical-surgical setting, while working as part of a collaborative, supportive team.

This is an excellent opportunity for nurses who enjoy caring for higher-acuity patients, developing their clinical judgment, and working closely with physicians and an interdisciplinary care team.

What You'll Do

• Provide safe, individualized nursing care to patients with complex and changing healthcare needs.
• Perform comprehensive assessments and continuously monitor patients for changes in condition.
• Recognize changes in patient status and initiate appropriate interventions or escalation of care.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, treatments, and other interventions safely and according to established standards.
• Monitor patients requiring increased observation and specialized care.
• Collaborate closely with physicians and members of the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications, and ongoing care.
• Respond appropriately to urgent and emergent patient situations.
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, patient responses, and care plans.
• Promote patient safety and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Support the orientation and development of new staff and nursing students as appropriate.

What We're Looking For

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Current RN license or eligibility to practice in Wisconsin.
• Current BLS/CPR certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.

$36.85 - $57.75 | Differentials for PMs, Nights & Weekends

(Pay is based on experience.)
