Job Description
Van Der Hout LLP is seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented Paralegal to join our growing employment- and family-based immigration practice. This is a full-time, in-office position offering the opportunity to work closely with attorneys on nonimmigrant and immigrant visa petitions and other immigration matters.
The successful candidate will assist with reviewing case documents, preparing employment-based immigration petitions and applications for filing with various government agencies, and managing cases throughout the immigration process. The ideal candidate is organized, able to manage multiple deadlines, communicates effectively, and has a genuine interest in immigration law.
While prior business immigration experience is preferred, we are committed to training motivated individuals who demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare non-immigrant and immigrant visa petitions, including but not limited to: H-1B, L-1, TN, E-3, O-1, and I-140 petitions.
- Review supporting documentation and prepare applications and petitions for filing with government agencies.
- Track and manage the status of filed cases and applications.
- Communicate with clients regarding case processing and document requests.
- Run reports and monitor filing deadlines.
- Maintain accurate case information using case management and client database systems.
- Work collaboratively with attorneys and team members to ensure timely and high-quality client service.

- Two or more years of business immigration paralegal experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with immigration case management software is a plus.
