Job Description

Description:

NEWITY is America’s source for small business capital, dedicated to providing access loan solutions. Achieving our vision requires more than ambition. It demands resilience, collaboration, accountability, professionalism, and a relentless drive to improve. Our culture moves fast, fosters excellence, and rewards those who lean in. It’s not for everyone, but if you’re energized by challenge, motivated by impact, and ready to grow alongside teammates who share your commitment, there’s no better place to build your career.

Job Summary

NEWITY is looking for a Cash Operations Analyst to manage processing for our asset-based lending (ABL) portfolio. This role sits at the intersection of loan servicing and cash operations: reviewing borrower base submissions, managing collections and cash application, and keeping loan records accurate in Jack Henry. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, has 3–5 years of experience in loan servicing, loan operations, or cash operations, and ideally brings hands-on ABL and Jack Henry servicing experience. We are especially interested in candidates currently working in loan servicing who want to grow and expand their role into servicing plus loan and cash operations.

Requirements:

Key Responsibilities

  • Review borrowing base certificates and supporting collateral reporting submitted by ABL borrowers, verifying eligibility and availability calculations
  • Monitor borrowing availability and flag exceptions, ineligibles, and potential concerns to the appropriate credit and portfolio teams
  • Manage ABL collections and cash processing, including cash application and payment posting in Jack Henry
  • Process and reconcile advances, paydowns, and payments, ensuring accurate and timely daily cash reconciliation
  • Perform loan servicing activities in Jack Henry, including account maintenance, billing, and payoff processing
  • Follow up with borrowers on missing reporting and past-due payments, escalating delinquencies as needed
  • Maintain accurate, audit-ready loan files and supporting documentation
  • Prepare cash, collections, and ABL portfolio reporting for internal teams and external partners as required
  • Create and maintain SOPs and procedural documentation for ABL processing
  • Manage workload/backlog to ensure reasonable turnaround times and response times
  • Perform other ad hoc duties, as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of professional experience in loan servicing, loan operations, or cash operations.
  • Hands-on ABL experience strongly preferred, including borrower base review, collateral monitoring, and collections.
  • Jack Henry loan servicing experience strongly preferred; experience with similar loan servicing platforms considered.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for reconciliations, analysis, and reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to create SOPs and procedural documentation, and to manage a high volume of recurring, deadline-driven work.
  • Comfortable managing multiple deliverables at once and adapting to changing circumstances and priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, including working with borrowers and internal partners.
  • High attention to detail, with success in roles requiring a high level of quality control.
  • Motivation to grow beyond a pure servicing role into a broader servicing plus loan/cash operations position.

Success in This Role

  • Borrower base submissions are reviewed accurately and on schedule, with exceptions flagged promptly.
  • Cash receipts are applied and reconciled accurately and on time, with discrepancies caught and resolved before they affect borrowers or reporting.
  • Collections and missing-reporting follow-up are managed proactively, with delinquencies escalated appropriately.
  • Jack Henry records and loan files are accurate and audit-ready.
  • SOPs and processes are followed and documentation stays current, enabling smooth cross-training and onboarding.
  • Brings an exceptional attention to detail.

Benefits

  • Compensation: $65,000 - $85,000 Per Year + Performance Bonus (Commensurate with Experience)
  • Comprehensive Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance
  • Retirement Plan with Company Match
  • Paid Time Off and Holidays
