Position Overview:
The Senior Solutions Engineer is responsible for leading technical discovery, solution design and implementation strategy for Aeropay’s enterprise partners. This role sits at the intersection of Product, Engineering, Revenue and Customer Success and will play a critical role in helping some of the world’s largest brands successfully evaluate, integrate and scale Aeropay’s platform.
This role will work closely with enterprise-level clients and executive stakeholders to understand business requirements, guide technical conversations and ensure successful implementation outcomes. The ideal candidate combines strong technical fluency with exceptional communication skills and the ability to operate confidently in both client-facing and internal strategic discussions.
Key Responsibilities:
Enterprise Client Partnership:
- Partner directly with enterprise-level clients to understand technical requirements, integration goals and implementation strategy
- Act as a trusted technical advisor throughout the sales and implementation lifecycle
- Support technical presentations, product demonstrations and architecture discussions with both technical and executive stakeholders
Technical Solution Design:
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product and Engineering teams to design scalable technical solutions
- Guide API integration discussions and provide technical recommendations aligned with client needs
- Translate client feedback and implementation learnings into actionable product and engineering insights
Implementation & Optimization:
- Support complex enterprise implementations from discovery through launch
- Troubleshoot technical issues and coordinate resolution across internal stakeholders
- Help optimize integration workflows, documentation and implementation processes as Aeropay scales
Cross-Functional Leadership:
- Work closely with Product, Engineering, Revenue and Customer Success teams to align on priorities and client needs
- Assist in shaping implementation strategy and technical best practices for the broader Solutions Engineering organization
- Operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment with evolving priorities
Qualifications:
- 6-8 years of experience in a client-facing Solutions Engineering, Technical Consulting or a similar function
- Experience working with enterprise-level clients and executive stakeholders
- Strong understanding of APIs, integrations and technical solution architecture
- Experience within fintech, payments or related infrastructure/platform businesses strongly preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
- Ability to balance technical problem-solving with business and client needs
- Experience operating in fast-paced startup or high-growth environments preferred
- Familiarity with payment systems, payment orchestration, cloud platforms or data infrastructure is a plus
- Software engineering or technical implementation experience is a plus
Working Location, Compensation & Benefits:
- This role is expected to be in office at Aeropay’s downtown Chicago HQ weekly from Monday through Thursday
- Salary Range: $140K - $160K base salary (DOE)
