Job Description
The Senior Product Analyst is part of the Marketing IT Portfolio team, managing and supporting over 20 technologies across areas such as Marketing Technology, Digital Marketing, and Creative Services. They will partner with cross-functional stakeholders, internal IT teams, and external vendors to define and govern a shared vision and product roadmap for assigned applications, while maintaining institutional knowledge and incorporating industry best practices to guide strategic planning and improvements.
The role involves analyzing and aligning technology solutions (including package selection, configuration, and development) with business and user needs through market research, functional comparisons, and awareness of trends across law and professional services firms. Additionally, the Senior Analyst prioritizes strategic initiatives into an executable portfolio aligned with enterprise data strategies and emerging AI capabilities, balancing input from business, user experience, security, training, architecture, vendors, operations, and project management to ensure successful outcomes.
Partner with business stakeholders to create both a strategic (long-term) and tactical (short-term) roadmap of projects for their assigned area.
Seek input of user experience and business analysts to determine potential improvements to their assigned applications.
Translate business user needs into necessary documentation and deliverables (requirements, user stories, traceability matrix, design documentation, test scripts, etc.)
Keep informed about best practices and technology developments trending in the area and at other firms. Act as a trusted advisor to Marketing and Business stakeholders, and the Senior Portfolio Manager, to influence the technology decisions and roadmap for the area based on this knowledge.
Manage lifecycle of assigned products, including inception, implementation, prioritization and execution of enhancements/defects, until system sunset.
Drive successful delivery of initiatives by ensuring they achieve intended business outcomes within established timelines and budgets.
Perform risk analysis, identify and resolve critical path issues, and report on program/project status.
Prepare materials for and present program/project related briefings and presentations to large size groups of key decision makers at the executive level.
Education and/or Experience:
Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Information Technology, Information Systems, or related field or equivalent experience
A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Program Analyst, Portfolio Analyst, Project Coordinator or related role
Good understanding of Marketing technologies
Preferred:
Experience with Marketing operations and processes
Skill with Marketing Technology systems, including Web and CRM (i.e., Sitecore, LexisNexis InterAction, Salesforce, etc.)
Experience with agile methodologies
Working knowledge of current technology trends
Project Management experience
Law firm experience
Ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams including, but not limited to developers, technical architects, non-technical business units and vendors

The target salary range for this role is:
$100,000 - $135,000 if located in IllinoisSalaries vary by location and are based on numerous factors, including, but not limited to, the relevant market, skills, experience, and education of the selected candidate.
