We're currently seeking dependable A/V Technicians to work on our A/V installations and projects. We are looking for experienced professionals skilled in all aspects of commercial audio visual systems—including conference room A/V, distributed audio, digital signage, video walls, and control systems. Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated A/V Lead Technician / Service Technician to join our team. This role requires a dedicated professional with strong experience in commercial audio visual system installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and team leadership. You will lead projects involving conference room systems, sound reinforcement, digital signage, video walls, and control integration—ensuring high standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities and Skills:

  • Install, configure, and service commercial audio visual systems (conference room A/V, projectors, video walls, distributed audio, control systems, digital signage, and related infrastructure)
  • Pull, dress, label, and terminate A/V cabling (Cat 6/6A, HDMI, speaker wire, coax, control cables, etc.)
  • Mount and install displays, projectors, speakers, microphones, and A/V racks
  • Program and commission DSPs, AV control processors, touch panels, and user interfaces (ASHLY, Kramer, Yealink, AMX, Q-SYS, etc.)
  • Integrate and configure conferencing solutions (Zoom Rooms, Teams Rooms, BYOD setups, wireless presentation systems)
  • Conduct site surveys, interpret blueprints, riser diagrams, and technical drawings for A/V systems
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and service A/V systems and components, including diagnosing network or control issues
  • Perform system upgrades, retrofits, and service calls for commercial clients
  • Document work performed (as-builts, device schedules, programming files, daily and close-out reports)
  • Lead and mentor junior A/V technicians; coordinate and supervise small teams as needed
  • Work independently or as part of a team to complete projects on time
  • Communicate effectively with clients, project managers, and other trades
  • Maintain safety protocols and promote a safe work environment
  • Organize and manage time across multiple jobs or service calls
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in good condition
  • Physical ability to work on ladders, lifts, and in confined spaces; able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Willingness to travel to job sites as required

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; further technical/A/V training preferred
  • 5–7 years of relevant experience in commercial A/V system installation and service
  • Experience with leading brands (e.g., Crestron, Extron, Q-SYS, Biamp, Shure, JBL, Samsung, LG, Cisco, etc.) preferred
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to manage small teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills; proficiency in reading blueprints, risers, and A/V system diagrams
  • Excellent communication skills and commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Valid state driver’s license and ability to travel within 75 miles of Tampa as needed
  • Reliable transportation
  • Must own hand and power tools suitable for A/V system installation and service
  • Able to submit for background check and pass drug screening
