Job Description
The Logistics Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing logistics operations in support of the Army Research Office (ARO). This position oversees Government Furnished Equipment (GFE), property accountability, shipping and receiving, inventory management, fleet coordination, mail operations, and logistics systems while ensuring compliance with applicable DoD, Army, and company policies. The Logistics Manager serves as the primary logistics subject matter expert and develops process improvements to support mission readiness and operational efficiency.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Property Accountability and Logistics
- Maintain accountable property records within DPAS and other Government systems while meeting all government requirements and policies.
- Conduct annual inventories and equipment audits with 100% accuracy.
- Build, develop, and maintain compliance strategies to ensure 100% accountability of all Government property.
- Barcode and catalog accountable property.
- Maintain DA Form 2062 hand receipts and all other appropriate forms and documentation.
- Coordinate shipping, receiving, warehouse, and inventory activities.
- Proactively work with government staff to forecast needs, execute ordering, and reconstitute critical inventory to prevent operational delays.
- Coordinate Government Furnished Equipment.
- Monitor and manage all supply inventories and excess property.
Fleet Management
- Coordinates comprehensive in/out-processing functions for all locally assigned personnel, oversees fleet management/dispatch, and manages complex shipping and receiving operations.
- Maintain 100% vehicle records and accountability, while coordinating transportation requirements in accordance with appropriate government policies and regulations
Mail & Distribution
- Operate the mailroom.
- Process incoming/outgoing mail.
- Coordinate UPS/FedEx/DHL shipments.
- Maintain postage equipment.
Administrative Support
- Manages data integrity and system integration across multiple system platforms during new Army system rollouts, not just prescribed data entry.
- Coordinate conference room setup.
- Support printing requests.
- Maintain and modernize office supply inventory.
- Provide expertise on equipment maintenance and preventative maintenance.

Minimum Requirements/Education:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum five (5) years of progressively responsible logistics, supply, inventory, or property management experience.
- Experience with Government property accountability systems (DPAS preferred).
- Experience supporting DoD or Federal Government logistics operations preferred.
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
- Strong Microsoft Office proficiency.
Preferred Skills
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Army property book or supply experience.
- Experience with DPAS.
- Experience supporting Army or DoD organizations.
- Experience with Army regulations governing Government property accountability.
Security Clearance:
Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.
Travel Required: Minimal local travel may be required between Government facilities.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to:
- Sit, stand, and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
- Frequently use hands and fingers to operate computers, office equipment, scanners, and inventory management systems.
- Occasionally bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, and reach overhead while handling equipment or inventory.
- Lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 35 pounds on a regular basis and heavier items with appropriate assistance or material handling equipment.
- Move carts, boxes, office furniture, and equipment as necessary.
- Operate Government-owned or leased vehicles to transport personnel, mail, supplies, and equipment.
- Read printed materials and computer screens and communicate effectively in person, by telephone, and electronically.
- Work safely around warehouse equipment, loading docks, shipping areas, and office environments.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when required.
- Occasionally work outdoors in varying weather conditions while loading, unloading, transporting, or inspecting equipment.
Work Environment
The work is performed in a combination of office, warehouse, loading dock, and Government facility environments. The employee may occasionally be exposed to moving mechanical equipment, varying temperatures, loading dock traffic, and warehouse operations. Appropriate safety procedures and personal protective equipment shall be used as required. Travel between Government facilities may be required.
