The Senior Software Engineer - Frontend will be responsible for developing modern frontend solutions, improving user experiences, and contributing to technical direction within a collaborative engineering team. The role requires strong ownership, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver high-performing applications in an Agile environment.
- Design, develop, and maintain performant, scalable, and user-friendly frontend applications.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate requirements into effective technical solutions.
- Build intuitive interfaces that help users understand and manage complex cloud governance, compliance, and risk challenges.
- Lead frontend initiatives, establish best practices, and mentor other engineers to improve team capabilities.
- Develop responsive user experiences that work consistently across multiple devices and browsers.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code using modern frontend technologies.
- Implement testing strategies using frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, and Jest.
- Contribute to technical decisions around architecture, frontend patterns, and development workflows.
- Participate in Agile and DevOps processes, including planning, reviews, and continuous delivery practices.
- Work effectively with a globally distributed engineering team using modern collaboration tools.
- Continuously improve product quality, usability, and engineering processes.
- Stay current with emerging frontend technologies and contribute ideas that improve the platform.
The ideal candidate will have extensive frontend development experience, strong technical problem-solving abilities, and experience contributing to engineering leadership. They should be comfortable working independently while collaborating across distributed teams.
- 5+ years of professional experience developing applications with JavaScript and modern frontend frameworks, preferably React.
- 3+ years of experience leading frontend initiatives and mentoring engineers.
- Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and modern browser APIs.
- Experience building responsive user interfaces optimized for different devices and screen sizes.
- Experience with frontend testing frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, or Jest.
- Ability to work effectively within Agile and DevOps software development environments.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage priorities, take ownership, and consistently deliver on commitments.
- Experience with TypeScript, Relay, GraphQL, or similar technologies is a plus.
- Familiarity with modern design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, InVision, or Lucidchart is beneficial.
- Experience contributing to open-source projects or working in startup environments is preferred.
- Full-stack development experience is a plus.
