Description:

Leading IT Service Provider seeks a Unified Communications Systems Technician to plan, install, maintain, and support Microsoft Teams Phone/Voice solutions, Microsoft 365 collaboration services, hosted VoIP platforms, SIP-based communications systems, and on-premises VoIP infrastructure both internally and at client sites.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and support Microsoft Teams Voice, Microsoft 365, hosted VoIP, and Unified Communications solutions.
  • Deploy and maintain Teams Auto Attendants, Call Queues, Operator Connect, and SIP-based voice services/System.
  • Troubleshoot voice, network, and end-user issues both remotely and onsite.
  • Support cloud and on-premises communications infrastructure, including VoIP systems, routers, firewalls, switches, and carrier connectivity.
  • Perform system upgrades, migrations, testing, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Deploy and support Microsoft Teams Rooms and conference room AV solutions.
  • Manage service tickets, technical documentation, and system records.
  • Provide end-user training and exceptional customer support.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve complex technical issues and deliver successful client projects.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and stay current with evolving technologies and best practices.
Requirements:

Education and Experience:

Experience preferred but not all necessary.

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school (or related degree/equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • 2+ years of IT, VoIP, Unified Communications, or telecommunications experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Teams Voice, Microsoft 365, hosted VoIP, and SIP-based communications.
  • Experience supporting NEC, Grandstream, Mitel, Cisco, Avaya, or similar phone systems is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of networking, including TCP/IP, routers, firewalls, and VoIP technologies.
  • Relevant certifications such as Microsoft 365, MS-700, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent.

  • Excellent organizational, documentation, and time-management skills.
