Ideal Steel is seeking a proactive and driven Component Sales Representative to join our team. This role focuses on building strong relationships with customers, managing sales inquiries, and growing component sales. You will play a key part in delivering outstanding customer experiences, meeting sales targets, and ensuring seamless communication across departments.

As a Component Sales Representative, you will:

  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries about components, providing accurate information and quotes.
  • Build and maintain relationships with existing and prospective customers to grow sales opportunities.
  • Process customer orders efficiently, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Collaborate with the production and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of components.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling other products within Ideal Steel’s portfolio.
  • Maintain detailed and organized records of customer interactions, sales orders, and follow-ups.
  • Track and report on sales metrics, contributing insights for continuous improvement.
  • Adhere to company values and deliver Ideal Steel’s brand promise.
  • Job duties include but are not limited to the above.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED; Associate degree in business or a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in sales, customer service, or a related role (experience in manufacturing or metal building components is a plus).
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Legal work authorization in the United States (sponsorship will not be provided for this role).
  • Position based onsite.
