Job Description

Description:

The Analyst I will provide programmatic, technical, administrative, SharePoint, Power BI, Power App, communications, and project coordination support to the U.S. Coast Guard Civil Rights Directorate. This role will support the modernization, sustainment, and improvement of CRD’s SharePoint sites, portal sites, Power BI applications, web-related platforms, data collection tools, communications products, and administrative processes.

The Analyst I will work in a highly collaborative environment supporting CRD program processes and initiatives, including content site development and updates, SharePoint and Power BI application support requests, program scheduling, deliverable tracking, stakeholder communications, POAM support, technical research, data organization, and general administrative support.

The ideal candidate will have experience supporting multiple projects, coordinating stakeholders, managing SharePoint content and permissions, supporting Power BI or Power App-related efforts, creating communication products, tracking requirements, and managing calendars, meetings, and office communications.

Key ResponsibilitiesSharePoint, Portal and Power Platform Support
  • Support development, implementation, modernization, and sustainment of SharePoint sites, portal sites, Power App platforms, Power BI applications, and other web-related platforms.
  • Manage and configure SharePoint online presence, including site collection administration, permissions management, content development, and content organization.
  • Support evaluation of existing CRD SharePoint, portal, and Power BI application sites for validity of data and information.
  • Assist with recommended enhancements to improve SharePoint platforms and related applications.
  • Configure public-facing and internal-facing SharePoint sites customized for different CRD offices.
  • Incorporate feedback forms, surveys, links, shared calendars, document libraries, dashboards, and other web parts as needed.
  • Configure permissions to restrict access to appropriate sites, lists, folders, and functions based on user roles.
  • Provide walkthroughs and user guides to designated CRD administrators to support long-term sustainment.
Power BI and Data Application Support
  • Support Power BI application development, implementation, sustainment, and enhancement activities.
  • Assist with assessing current processes and workflows to identify opportunities for automation.
  • Support development of custom Power BI dashboards that display relevant data through graphs, visuals, and other reporting tools.
  • Assist with configuring data connections to feed and refresh Power BI dashboards.
  • Support Power BI applications used for data entry, reporting, automation, and leadership visibility.
  • Provide support for SharePoint and Power BI service requests from CRD staff.
  • Acknowledge support requests within required timeframes and work to resolve or escalate issues appropriately.
Program and Project Coordination
  • Provide guidance and direction in support of initiative management principles.
  • Support multiple projects by helping coordinate tasks, deadlines, deliverables, schedules, and stakeholder inputs.
  • Help manage projects of high complexity within estimated timeframes and resource constraints.
  • Coordinate parties needed for task completion and review work products for completeness, quality, and adherence to customer requirements.
  • Track requirements and status in real time through completion.
  • Support POAM tracking for CRD technology, SharePoint, Power BI, SOP, CRM, and administrative initiatives.
  • Assist with monthly status updates, project planning, meeting coordination, and documentation.
Technical Research and Analysis
  • Conduct detailed research and analysis of technical data.
  • Read and interpret Government policies, regulations, directives, and guidance as directed by the Project Manager or designee.
  • Apply policy and regulatory interpretations to assigned PWS activities under appropriate direction.
  • Help identify process gaps, requirements, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support data collection, reporting, and analysis activities related to CRD systems and workflows.
Communications and Graphic Design Support
  • Support development of CRD communication products, including features, blogs, articles, headlines, flyers, emails, newsletters, pamphlets, web content, and other materials.
  • Assist with creating graphic designs using tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Support visual organization of web pages and communication products using graphics, layout, typography, and design concepts.
  • Add graphic elements to communications materials in alignment with program office ideas and recommendations.
  • Support website design, organization, content presentation, and content management for CRD platforms.
  • Assist with quarterly web content updates and content posting as approved by CRD.
Administrative and Stakeholder Support
  • Manage multiple calendars, meetings, and office communications.
  • Support meeting planning, scheduling, agendas, conference lines, calendar updates, and meeting logistics.
  • Assist with meeting support, including presentations, roll call, minutes, and follow-up actions.
  • Support email correspondence, response coordination, surveys, data call tracking, and administrative reports.
  • Communicate effectively with senior personnel, internal stakeholders, external stakeholders, and CRD staff.
  • Maintain professionalism and responsiveness in a high-visibility federal environment.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Arts, Science, or a related field.
  • At least two years of specialized and/or relevant experience.
  • Ability to provide guidance and direction implementing initiative management principles.
  • Ability to support multiple projects and coordinate complex tasks through completion.
  • Ability to conduct detailed research and analysis of technical data.
  • Ability to read and interpret Government policy, regulations, and directives.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including communication with senior personnel.
  • Ability to develop, implement, and transition SharePoint sites, portal sites, Power App platforms, Power BI applications, and other web-related platforms to sustainment.
  • Ability to manage and configure SharePoint Online, including site administration, permissions, content development, and content organization.
  • Ability to identify and resolve SharePoint functionality, user access, and site performance issues.
  • Ability to create graphic designs using Adobe Creative Suite tools such as Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Ability to track requirements in real time through completion.
  • Ability to manage multiple calendars, meetings, and office communications.
