About the Role:

The Community Development Manager will lead initiatives aimed at fostering sustainable growth and improving the quality of life within diverse communities across the United States. This role involves strategic planning, partnership building, and program management to address social, economic, and environmental challenges. The successful candidate will work closely with local stakeholders, government agencies, and nonprofit organizations to design and implement community development projects that promote inclusivity and resilience. Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Community Development, Urban Planning, Public Administration, Social Work, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in community development or a similar role.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing reports and presentations.
  • Familiarity with grant writing and budget management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline such as Urban Planning, Public Policy, or Community Development.
  • Experience working with diverse populations and underserved communities.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local community development policies and funding mechanisms.

  • Demonstrated success in building partnerships across sectors and leading collaborative initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive community development strategies tailored to the unique needs of various populations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with community leaders, government officials, nonprofits, and other key stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and oversee community programs, ensuring they meet established objectives and comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Identify funding opportunities, prepare grant proposals, and manage budgets to support community initiatives.
  • Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness through data collection and analysis, providing regular reports to senior management.
  • Facilitate community engagement activities such as workshops, forums, and public meetings to gather input and foster collaboration.
  • Advocate for community needs and represent the organization at relevant conferences, coalitions, and public events.
